  Another rumor about changes in Watchtower and Awake

  it's only a rumor.

  but we all know that sometimes rumors become a reality.. supposedly the public watchtower and awake magazines will be combined together and the two shall become one.. i wonder if the present 16 page "rags" are becoming an embarrassment.

  I didn't expect to be here at age 49. Here as in my employment

  it's been a terrible economy these last few years.

  i had a very successful loan brokerage and watched that crash and burn in 2011. i went back to my previous firm in the computer industry that was struggling after i left.

  it seemed like a good match.

  one door closes another opens up...

  Those words are so true. After I got screwed over in a job situation, my fellow Supervisor buddy told me, "one door closes, another opens up." Just over a year later, and I had a much better job & position, and making double the salary. My buddy is now working for me, and his salary was doubled also. Good things do happen to good people.

  P.S....Forgot to mention, that I took legal action against my ex-employer and settled out-of-court with them.

  I NEED HELP!

  guys, i have faded about a 1 month ago...now 1 elder, who i consider a friend as a person and like a father is texting me.... i don't hate the guy, i consider him my friend even though i don't believe what he believes...he's telling me he hasnt seen me at the meetings and he's worried...he asked me if i could go in service with him this weekend...i have not responded, i dont know what to say since i don't want to go through no judicial committee or something like that...nobody there knows i know ttabtt...any suggestions on how i should respond?.

  Think About It

  Look up some negative news articles about how the WTS is being forced to pay millions in judgements against them for protecting pedophiles. Then you can tell this elder that you have been stumbled by what the WTS has allowed to happen to the little children. The elder will not be able to defend that, or your righteous indignation against it. If he ask you how you found out about it, tell him a householder in field service mentioned it, and you told them it was a lie. After you looked it up and found out it was true, you were very embarrassed. This will get you a free pass as a stumbled, spiritually weak person, and you will soon be faded away.

  this is an interesting article posted by the christian left from thw huffington post.

  i know jehovah's witnesses do not teach the rapture (except maybe for the 144,000) so all of them expect to live through the tribulation (whatever that was to them).

  Let me just pipe in one more time. You evidently already have the attention of the elders, and soon probably the CO. Definately avoid the CO. That is in your power to do, if you play it smart.

  Do not tell them you have personal reasons for not coming to meetings. This is a group that thinks they have a perfect organization. If you don't talk to the elders, they will think you have some "secret sins" that you are hiding, and that is causing you to feel this way. You will probably get more attention from them as they try to figure out what your secret sins are.

  You have to come up with something that puts the blame on the organization. Either use somebody stumbled you badly, or use the reading about how the WTS got caught by the judicial system protecting pedophiles, and that is what has stumbled you. The elders cannot defend that, and will soon leave you alone.

  Think About It

  The King of the North & King of the South was a big prophecy when I was in. I thought it made sense up into the early 90's, and probably helped contribute to keeping many people in the JW religion. The fact it's not mentioned anymore by the Watchtower is just another line of evidence that the WTS is just another false prophet of a religion.

  one day she can see the crap(such as this past watchtower question from readers about ivf... what a pile of insanity.

  With family still in you need a good reason to just have stopped going. I would claim you read about how the WTS had to pay millions in damages because of judgements against them for protecting pedophiles. There's not much they can say against that. All you have to do is keep saying that was wrong of them to do that against the children, and they will soon just leave you alone. You will just be considered a spiritually weak person, because talking about it will make them uncomfortable.

  hah. yeah. A big apostafest with bands and camping and all kinds of fun stuff. Get every possible ex-jw in attendance!

  Actually, if you had the right people promoting it something like this could be pretty big. Plenty of big name X-JW's in the music industry. A rock festival with X-JW bands and musicians, some condemnation & protesting against the WTS, with plenty of X-JW's in attendance could be quite an annual event if promoted right.
